Changing nameservers at Namecheap

In this panel the option is called Custom DNS.

Do this before switching

Check that the zone here already has every record — mainly MX (email) and the A of your site. While the delegation moves, whoever is authoritative at that moment answers; a missing record means an address that stops working. If the domain has DNSSEC at the registrar, remove the DS record first and wait for the TTL.

Your nameservers

  • ns1.qflaryx.com
  • ns2.qflaryx.com

These are the defaults for new zones. Confirm the pair assigned to your zone on its page in the panel.

Step by step

  1. 1 Go to “Domain List” and click “Manage” on the domain.
  2. 2 Under “Nameservers”, switch from “Namecheap BasicDNS” to “Custom DNS”.
  3. 3 Enter the two Quathos Monitor servers.
  4. 4 Click the green ✓ to save.

After saving

Quathos Monitor checks the delegation on its own and marks the zone as active as soon as your registrar publishes the change — usually minutes, up to 48 hours in the worst case. You do not need to do anything else.

Panels change without notice. If a screen no longer matches, look for “nameservers” or “DNS servers” in the domain settings — the idea is the same everywhere.
